ABUJA Declare State Of Emergency On Unemployment, Reps Tell FG
House of Representatives yesterday called on the Federal Government to immediately declare a state of emergency on unemployment.
This is as the House also resolved to take steps in amending the Immigration Act to provide stiffer punishment for violations of immigration laws with the view of protecting the Nigerian worker.
These resolutions by the House followed a motion entitled “call for a state of emergency and legislative intervention in the unemployment crisis in Nigeria” sponsored by the House leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and 78 others.
