Lawmaker Laments Hacking Of His Facebook, E-mail


A member of the Lagos State House of Assem­bly, Hon. Jude Idimogu has distanced himself from text messages being circulated on his email, facebook and other social media platforms, ask­ing people to pay money to a certain doctor’s bank account or send a credit card to his email, saying it was the hand work of mischief makers and scammers.
According to the lawmak­er, scammers on October 21 hacked his email address and facebook sending messages to his friends to the effect that “I made a trip to Addis Abba and unfortunately my niece had a fatal accident yesterday night and needs to undergo surgery which needs N85, 000 to start her treatment. Can you lend me some quick funds that you can afford for now and I will give back as soon as I get back.

St. Finbaar’s College, Akoka wins the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State.

St. Finbarr’s College Akoka, Lagos at the weekend won the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State. The school in a six-week-long competition defeated May Day College and Topgrade Secondary School, Surulere in the preliminaries to qualify for the final. The Akoka boys who walked-over Penny International College Coker, the defending champions, for late coming, went into sporadic jubilation on their victory. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that 16 schools participated in the competition, including Yaba College of Technology Secondary School, St. Finbaar’s College, Penny Internatinal College, Shining Lord’s Secondary and Technical School.
