First batch of Ogun pilgrims arrive from Saudi


First batch of pilgrims from Ogun State arrived from the holy land of Mecca and Medina Monday afternoon.
The Medview Airline aircraft that conveyed the 539 pilgrims touched down at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State, western Nigeria at exactly 1:35 pm.
Information gathered from the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board revealed that 1,185 pilgrims travelled from the state to the holy land this year.
One of the officials of the board who preferred anonymity because he was not authorised to speak with newsmen confirmed the information
