Europa League draw: Villarreal test for Liverpool

Liverpool have been paired with Villarreal in the semi-finals of the Europa League after their brilliant comeback win over Borussia Dortmund on Thursday night.
In Friday’s open draw in Nyon, Jurgen Klopp’s men were handed the task of getting past the La Liga side over two legs, with the first at Estadio El Madrigal before the return at Anfield a week later.
Shakhtar Donetsk will take on the holders and four-time champions Sevilla in the other last-four tie.
The semi-finals will take place on 28 April and 5 May and the final at Basel’s St. Jakob-Park will take place on on Wednesday 18 May.
Liverpool, who edged out Dortmund 5-4 on aggregate at Anfield, have never met Villarreal, who are now the highest-scoring club in the history of the  Europa League with 82 goals, previously in European competition.
The winners of the Villarreal v Liverpool tie will be the home team in the final in Switzerland.
