OPSS kills one, arrests three suspected militants

Operation Pulo Shield, OPS, yesterday, disclosed that its troops rescued an abducted expatriate and arrested the killers of two soldiers.

They also killed one suspected militant and arrested three others.
A statement signed by the Coordinator of the Joint Media Center of the outfit, Col. Ado Isa, said the troops during a manhunt on criminals along Soku Gas plant encountered suspected militants who opened fire on them which they quickly repelled killing one suspect and injuring others.
He said three suspects were arrested but they claimed to be victims of pirates attack.
According to him, equipment recovered from the suspects include two AK 47 Automatic Assault rifles and 10 Magazine loaded with 7.62mm special ammunition.
