Pick Audu’s son, Kogi legislators tell APC

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Kogi State House of Assembly have advised the party’s leadership to consider Muhammed Audu, the son of the late Prince Abubakar Audu as the governorship candidate ahead of December 5 supplementary election. They gave the advice yesterday in Abuja after holding a meeting with the APC National Chairman, John Odigie-Oyegun.
The leader of the delegation, Maman Rabiu (Anka Constituency), who addressed journalists, said no candidate would be accepted apart from the late Audu’s son. He said, “Based on our discussion, we have taken a decision. We have taken our resolution to the national chairman. We told the national chairman that on no account should anybody be smuggled in to occupy that position which we worked for in conjunction with the late Audu without whom there will be no APC in Kogi State.
“We will appreciate if the leadership will understand that we come to complain to them with pains and tell them our position because of the commitment of our leader. We don’t want Kogi to be left in the hands of the PDP any longer,” Rabiu said.
