ABUJA Declare State Of Emergency On Unemployment, Reps Tell FG


House of Representatives yesterday called on the Federal Government to imme­diately declare a state of emer­gency on unemployment.
This is as the House also re­solved to take steps in amending the Immigration Act to provide stiffer punishment for violations of immigration laws with the view of protecting the Nigerian worker.
These resolutions by the House followed a motion enti­tled “call for a state of emergen­cy and legislative intervention in the unemployment crisis in Ni­geria” sponsored by the House leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and 78 others.
