Lecturers On Agreement With Govt

A group, Democratic Socialist Movement (DSM), has warned the lecturers in Osun state tertiary institutions not to be carried away with the agreement they entered with the state government.
Lecturers in tertiary institutions in the state had on Wednesday suspended their four months old strike after signing memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state government.
In the MoU, the state government agreed to withdraw the suit instituted against the lecturers in concurrence with the suspension of the strike action.
Both parties also agreed that salaries from January to June, 2015 and deductions for same period would be paid within seven days.
