B-haram Attacks: We will not vacate Dalori, monach, residents, vow


The District Head of Dalori, Alhaji Usman Lawan Dalorima and residents have informed President Muhammadu Buhari and Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State that no amount of pressure from Boko Haram attacks will compel them to desert their community and become refugees in Maiduguri. Boko Haram Boko Haram They insisted that, despite the calamity that befell them, penultimate Saturday, where over 150 people were allegedly killed and houses torched by terrorists, they would stay back in their ancestral home, as death, according to them, is inevitable in any society. The stakeholders, including the Borno State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Ali Bukar Dalori, made their position known at the destroyed palace of the District Head when Buhari, represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Mr. Babachir David Lawal, led three ministers on a condolence visit to Dalori.

St. Finbaar’s College, Akoka wins the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State.

St. Finbarr’s College Akoka, Lagos at the weekend won the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State. The school in a six-week-long competition defeated May Day College and Topgrade Secondary School, Surulere in the preliminaries to qualify for the final. The Akoka boys who walked-over Penny International College Coker, the defending champions, for late coming, went into sporadic jubilation on their victory. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that 16 schools participated in the competition, including Yaba College of Technology Secondary School, St. Finbaar’s College, Penny Internatinal College, Shining Lord’s Secondary and Technical School. Others are St. Michael’s Anglican College, Jubilee Model Grammar school, Fountain Heights Secondary School, St. Gregory’s College and St. Jude’s Private Secondary School.
