Police confirm discovery of 3 decomposing bodies in Enugu

The Police in Enugu has confirmed the discovery of three decomposing corpses and a human skull in a bush at Ugwuaji in Enugu South Local Government Area of the state. The Spokesperson of the State Police Command, DSP Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed this on Tuesday in an interview with newsmen in Enugu.
The dead bodies were buried in shallow graves around a new church in Enugu.
The discovery evoked chaos and tears yesterday evening at Ugwuaji, along Enugu Port-Harcourt Express road, they included human parts and almost fresh dead bodies found in an uncompleted building.
Amaraizu said that the command discovered the corpses and the human skull on January 25, at 4 p.m. following a tip-off. He said the command would do everything possible to fish out the identities of the corpses and the cause of the death.
The police spokesperson warned that the command would not tolerate unlawful acts that would disrupt the existing relative peace in the state. He urged residents of the state to be security conscious and report to the police any suspicious movements or acts in their localities.
