Pharaohs of Egypt vowed to deny Super Eagles the AFCON 2017 Group D sole ticket

After taking lead of Group D in the AFCON 2017 qualifier with their 3-0 home victory over Tanzania, the Pharaohs of Egypt have vowed to deny the Super Eagles the group’s sole ticket.
The Egyptians while basking in the euphoria of their win said not even the presence of the Super Eagles in the group will stop them from getting to Gabon to be part of the tournament which they have won a record seven times.
It would be noted that Egypt have not been part of the last three editions of the tournament, a trend the players and their new Argentine coach, Hector Cuper want to stop by qualifying for Gabon 2017.
Pharaohs’ defence strongman, Ramy Rabia told CAF’s said they want to stage a strong comeback to African football.
His words:”This game is history now. We have to start thinking of the next one. Egypt’s normal place is on top of the continent’s football. We missed a lot in recent times and now we have to get back to where we belong. I’m happy I scored but the win is much more important for me. Now we can think of our coming game in a positive mood.”
Cuper while thumbing up his boys over the brilliant start to the qualifiers said he is happy the result gave Egyptians something to cheer about.
“I’m happy with the result because it gives the Egyptian people something to cheer about. My players played to our tactics and I’m satisfied with their performance,” he said.
Egypt will in their next game be away to Chad in September, while the Super Eagles hit Tanzania to keep a date with the Taifa Stars.
