Corporate Council on Africa, CCA, an American organization devoted to US-Africa business relations, has said that Chairman of Heirs Holdings, UBA Group as well as Transcorp Nigeria PLC, Tony Elumelu was invited to the roundtable meeting with U.S. and Nigerian business leaders when President Mohamadu Buhari visited US because of his role as a director of the CCA and has spent several years promoting business, trade, and investment between the United States and Nigeria. This was disclosed by the CCA President Mr. Stephen Hayes, to a Nigerian online media in a chat weekend.

He said that Elumelu was also invited by the Nigerian government through the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment to participate and speak on issues of power and trade.
Mr. Elumelu and other Nigerian business leaders were hosted by the U.S Chambers of Commerce in a meeting in partnership with the CCA for the visiting Nigerian President.
Also Communications Director for the CCA Jennifer Wright, said that Mr. Elumelu is a respected board member of the CCA and was duly invited and registered for the event.
Mr. Elumelu has spent several years promoting business, trade, and investment between the United States and Nigeria. Elumelu is the Chairman of Heirs Holdings, UBA Group as well as Transcorp Nigeria PLC.
