GEJ’s government ministers to be probed by the All Progressives Congress, APC government.

Okonjo-Iweala, are among the four frontline ministers under President Goodluck
Jonathan’s government that are being probed by the All Progressives Congress,
APC government of President Muhammadu Buhari.
A competent source at the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC,
yesterday told Nigerian Pilot Saturday that the files of the ex-ministers are
currently being scrutinised by the investigation and legal departments of the
commission.
The highly placed source also confirmed that the records of former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe, former Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke, SAN and former Minister of Interior, Comrade Patrick Abba Moro respectively are equally being closely studied.
Further, the source said that President Muhammadu Buhari’s declaration during his state visit to the United States of America, USA, that the Federal Government was examining pieces of evidence that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of some former ministers and other government officials for looting and stealing of Nigeria’s crude oil was a confirmation of the secret probe.
“We are now looking for evidences of shipping some of our crude, their destinations and where and which accounts they were paid and in which country. The amount of money is mind burgling but we have started getting documents.
“We have started getting documents where some of the senior people in government, former ministers, some of them had as much as five accounts and were moving about one million barrel per day on their own.
“We have started getting those documents. Whichever documents we are able to get and subsequently trace the sale of the crude or transfer of money from Ministries, Departments, Central Bank.
“We will ask for the cooperation of those countries to return those monies to federation accounts and we will use those documents to arrest those people and prosecute them. This, I promise Nigerians.
“We will approach those countries to freeze those accounts and go to court, prosecute those people and let the accounts be taken to Nigeria,” President Buhari said this at the Nigerian embassy in Washington while answering questions at an interactive session with Nigerians in the Diaspora.
According to the source, the first batch of Buhari casualty are the immediate past minister of petroleum, Mrs. Madueke who will be explaining to the crack team of EFCC operatives how over N3.7 trillion was missing under her watch.
Okonjo-Iweala, who also doubled as the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, would be required to explain to the EFCC how $2.1 billion in the Excess Crude Account, ECA, account was withdrawn without the approval of the National Economic Council, NEC, and other financial transactions that took place in the ministry.
The anti-craft agency will also quizzed Mr. Adoke in respect of the alleged defrauding of the federal government on dubious judgement debts to the tune of over N500 billion.
Orubebe, the former minister of Niger Delta Affairs, and PDP’s Returning Officer during the Presidential Election, will alongside five directors in the ministry be interrogated by the operatives of Independent Corrupt and Other Related Offensive Commission, ICPC over allegation of looting N605 million ministry funds.
Already, the ICPC has filed corruption charges before an Abuja High court due for arraignment in September immediately after the annual vacation of judges break against Orubebe and other five embattled Directors.
Moro, will also be telling the team of the EFCC how the N1, 000 recruitment fee for the exercise of Nigerian Immigration Service job amounting to 2.1 billion got missing.
Already, the Department of States Security Service, DSS had last week invaded the home of the immediate past National Security Adviser, NSA to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd) in Asokoro, Abuja and his father’s house in Sokoto State.
The former President’s Chief Security Officer, CSO Mr. Gordon Obuah was detained too for five days by DSS before he was eventually released in the early hours of Thursday.
Nigeria Pilot Saturday recalls that President Buhari had frowned at the way and manner the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, was being managed, saying his administration would check the excesses of the corporation.
He had equally hinted that his administration was carefully studying the issue of oil subsidy and promised that he would work against anything that would further impoverished Nigerians in the name of removing oil subsidy.
