Amaechi never spoke to any media organisation – Media Office



The former governor of Rivers State Chibuike RotimiAmaechi has denied reports that Buhari disappointed him in respect of the new appointment were Engr. Babachir David Lawal was made Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF; Alhaji Abba Kyari the Chief of Staff to the President; Col. Hameed Ibrahim Ali (retd.) – Comptroller-General, Nigerian Customs Service; Mr. Kure Martin Abeshi – Comptroller-General, Nigerian Immigration Service, Senator Ita S.J. Enang – SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate) and Hon. Suleiman A. Kawu the SSA to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives).
Amaechi in a statement from his media office said the report that he was disappointed with the choice of the president in the new appointments was not true and that he granted not such interview nor spoke to no one since he left office as governor.
He further threaten that if the publishers of the story did not apologies he will be force to take legal action as the report did not follow the ethics of journalism.
According to him said the report was ridiculous and meaningless was figment of the writer’s imagination and flouts all the basic rules of journalism biz: fairness, accuracy and balance

St. Finbaar’s College, Akoka wins the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State.

St. Finbarr’s College Akoka, Lagos at the weekend won the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State. The school in a six-week-long competition defeated May Day College and Topgrade Secondary School, Surulere in the preliminaries to qualify for the final. The Akoka boys who walked-over Penny International College Coker, the defending champions, for late coming, went into sporadic jubilation on their victory. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that 16 schools participated in the competition, including Yaba College of Technology Secondary School, St. Finbaar’s College, Penny Internatinal College, Shining Lord’s Secondary and Technical School.
