US backs NNPC reforms
The United
States government has promised to work with the new management of the Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, to achieve the federal
government’s reform agenda in the oil and gas industry.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Group General Manager, Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Ohi Alegbe, and made available to Nigerian Pilot in Abuja.
Speaking during a courtesy call on the Group Managing Director, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, at the headquarters of the NNPC in Abuja, yesterday, the US Ambassador to Nigeria, James Entwistle, said the United States is willing to provide the necessary support to the new NNPC management to realise its set goals and objectives.
