Lagos Airport Customs Command generates N22.5b

The Murtala Muhammed Airport Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) says it made N22.5 billion between January and July.
Its Comptroller, Mr  Folorunso Adegoke, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) yesterday in Lagos that the highest revenue figure of N5.2 billion was recorded in July.
NAN reports that the revenue was an improvement over the N18 billion recorded in the corresponding period last year.
“From Jan. 1, 2014 to July 2015, the figure has been showing a steady rise apart from the drop that we had during the election period.
“This was because a lot of people thought Nigeria was going to divide and there would not be any Nigeria after the election but thank God, we are still in together.

St. Finbaar’s College, Akoka wins the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State.

St. Finbarr’s College Akoka, Lagos at the weekend won the annual Helmbridge Science Challenge for secondary schools in Lagos State. The school in a six-week-long competition defeated May Day College and Topgrade Secondary School, Surulere in the preliminaries to qualify for the final. The Akoka boys who walked-over Penny International College Coker, the defending champions, for late coming, went into sporadic jubilation on their victory. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN reports that 16 schools participated in the competition, including Yaba College of Technology Secondary School, St. Finbaar’s College, Penny Internatinal College, Shining Lord’s Secondary and Technical School.
