APC suspends Sen. Shehu Sani over anti-party activities
There seems to be no end
in sight to the crisis rocking All Progressives Congress, APC in Kaduna State
as the party yesterday announced eleven months suspension of the Senator representing
Kaduna Central senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani over his criticisms of
state Governor, Malam Nasir El-Rufai’s policies.
The letter of suspension which came from the senator’s Tudun Wada North ward 6
and signed by Ahmed Abdulhamid, Auwal Mai Anguwa and Aminu Alilan, Secretary,
PRO and Ex-officio, respectively, stated that the decision was arrived at after
a meeting held on 27th December, 2015 which reviewed a subcommittee report on
allegations made against the senator.
The letter stated that the anti-party activities are so pronounced, especially his negative criticism of Governor Nasir El-Rufai.
The letter added that Senator Sani’s statements violated the rules of engagement of the party, which have only succeeded in fractionalizing the party in the state.
According to the letter, “There is hardly a week that passes by without his group being on air criticizing and challenging the enduring legacies of Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
“His statements on national issues are not in conformity with that of the state Governor and Government of Kaduna State
