Ogun Police recovers four boats, seven vehicles from pipeline vandals

The Ogun State Police Command, in a recent raid, recovered four boats, seven vehicles and jerry cans filled with stolen petrol at the hideout of a syndicate of pipeline vandals at Akute Odo in the Ishasi creeks at Akute in Ifo Local Government Area of the state.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Muyiwa Adejobi, policemen attached to the Ota Area Command and Ajuwon Division, acted on a tip off and moved to the creeks where they caught the vandals in the act.
He said the vandals fled into the sea on sighting the police team, leaving behind their four operational boats, boat engines, seven vehicles and jerry cans filled with petrol. Adejobi, while displaying the said recovered items, explained that, “The driver of the truck jumped into the bush on sighting the police and abandoned the truck. The truck is currently in police custody for further investigation.
