Christmas: Ugwuanyi preaches peace, tolerance

Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has called on Christians to use the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ to offer special prayers for the progress of the nation and dedicate their lives to the service of God and advancement of peace and tolerance in the country.

In a message signed by his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr. Louis Amoke, Governor Ugwuanyi said that Christmas celebration offers Christians the opportunity to reflect on their relationship with God and how to use their service to humanity to fulfill his Will.
The governor noted that the birth of Christ which marks the beginning of salvation of mankind and power over the forces of darkness can only be appreciated if Christians can tolerate one another and dedicate themselves to things that would promote peace and the Will of God.
