2 men await sentencing for stealing phone, cash

An Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Friday remanded two men, Tunde Hassan, 30, and Tope Akinyemi, 18, in Kririkiri Prisons pending their sentencing for theft.

The Magistrate, Mrs. B.Y. Badejo Okusanya, remanded the duo after they pleaded guilty to a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy and stealing.
Okusanya adjourned the case till Jan. 20, for facts and sentencing.
Hassan, who gave no fixed address, claimed to be an NURTW official while Akinyemi resides at No. 12, Ogo-oluwa St., Modupe, Ogba, Lagos.
