KICC’s 10th Widows Empowerment Set to Hold

The annual widows’ party / empowerment held every January and organised by the Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC) is set to hold again this year. Billed to hold tomorrow, Saturday January 9 by 10.00am at the King’s University premises along Oshogbo Road in Ode-Omu, Osun State, the annual event is an occasion where cloths and money are given to widows who are indigenes of Ode-Omu, in Osun State.   The programme, according to the initiator and Founder of KICC, Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo, all started as a simple instruction from the Lord, when he felt that God was laying on his heart to bless few widows in Ode-Omu, Osun State, his father’s hometown and root.

Colonel Buka Dimka who played a leading role in the events of February 13, 1976 sought refuge in the arms of an old girlfriend in Afikpo in the then Anambra State.
