Don Donates Mammogram to Fight Cancer

Canadian University don has donated a mammogram
to an Osun State-based cancer foundation as a part of efforts to intensify
cancer awareness programmes across the globe.

She added that with the new mammogram, the foundation had been repositioned to re-engineer its sensitisation programmes targeted at early detection, prevention and treatment of cancer in both rural and urban areas with a view to checkmating cancer menace and its attendant death toll in the country.
Kuye added that the mammogram had also necessitated the expansion of the foundation’s building and personnel which include consultant radiologist, a chief radiographer among others.
Dr. Kuye who lamented the rising death toll of cancer-related ailments, particularly cancer of the breast, cervix, prostrate among others stressed that MicCom Cancer Foundation would not rest in its oars in its mission to promote cancer awareness and prevention through education and to reduce its burden by early detention through community-wide screening and facilitated treatment.
