Kidnappers place N50m ransom on kidnapped RCCG pastor

Kidnappers of Pastor Ayo Raphael, who was whisked away during church service on Sunday at Kabba Junction in a suburb of Lokoja have demanded a ransom of N50 million from the church.
According to a colleague of the abducted pastor of Resurrection Parish, Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG), Kabba Junction, who preferred anonymity, the kidnappers named their ransom through a phone call on Tuesday in Lokoja.
The pastor who was one of the eye-witnesses to the kidnap in the church said the gunmen numbering about 10 invaded the church about 9:30 am while the Pastor (Ayo Funsho Raphael) was delivering his sermon and started shooting sporadically.
“They ordered everybody in the church to face down‎ and proceeded to the pulpit from where the pastor was preaching, got hold of him and dragged him out bare footed into the bush,” he said.
